I’m Faigy Gilder.
I build practical systems for mission-driven people and lean teams. When work keeps depending on you to remember, check, and follow up, I help the pieces work together.
My background includes 15+ years inside nonprofit communications teams. Writing the emails between meetings. Pulling the dashboard together the night before the board meeting. Wearing five hats and getting handed a sixth. That experience taught me how much work happens between the things on your job description.
I look at what’s already useful, where work actually happens, and what the people doing it can realistically keep using. The aim is a setup you can trust, so the work takes up less space in your head and leaves more room for the people and ideas you care about.

More people want what you do. But follow-ups, scheduling, and loose ends keep taking time from your clients, your writing, or the ideas you want to share.
- You want to hand work over. But explaining how it all works feels like another job. So you keep doing it yourself.
- You’re wondering what happens when someone leaves. Too much lives in their head, and the rest of the team needs a way to carry on without starting over.
I learn how the work happens and build systems you can trust, so there’s less to carry in your head.
How I work
You can bring me the messy version. The half-finished setup, the question you’re not sure how to ask, the thing you’ve explained three times already. We can start there. You’re working directly with me, and we’ll make sense of it together.
I look before I add. We keep what’s useful and work out why the other pieces aren’t helping before introducing more. I build around your work in widely used tools, with modest ongoing costs in mind. We discuss any tool subscriptions before you commit, so you know what it will cost to keep using the system.
Clear thinking, with someone easy to talk to. I listen, ask questions, and explain what I’m seeing in plain language. Then I do the building. You bring your knowledge of the work, we try it together, and there’s room to ask questions or say something doesn’t feel right.
You leave feeling capable. I want you to feel comfortable using what we’ve built. We go through the parts you’ll use, with room to understand more if you want to. You get clear instructions, know what needs your review, and know how to tell if something stops working.
